Payment and Refund Policy

Payment is expected during registration to save your space in class. Payment plans can be set up in advance if need be by contacting Kirsten.

Refunds for Classes: If you drop out of class more than a week (7 days) before the first class for any reason. (personal, medical, accident, schedule change, etc.), you will receive a full refund minus $50 registration fee.

Almost all of our classes run full, so if you register for class, someone else has been turned away. Therefore, if you are within a week of the first class starting we will be unable to refund you. We will make every effort to accommodate you if you need to switch classes due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, emergencies or other events but can not guarantee a spot in another class if they are already full. It is our goal to make you happy and to teach you the joy of working with clay.  

Pandemic: When you sign up for a class at TCS, you do so understand that the pandemic is out of our control and we will not be giving refunds or postponing our classes. We will switch to online learning and continue to teach the highest level of ceramics education through our Clay School @Home Studio Program.

Weather/Unforeseen Events: We will make up all classes that The Clay School needs to cancel, but this almost never happens unless it snows! We cannot hold class if the city of Lynn institutes a parking ban.

Partial Sessions/Prorating: We do not prorate classes if you are going away on vacation or need to miss a few. We encourage you to make-up any class you might miss by attending another class during the same session. Pre-makeups before your missed class are also allowed. We will make every effort to find a make-up class that works for you. We can also send you a video project from our library in lieu of a make-up class. Make-up classes do not carry over into the next 8-week session.

Refunds for 1-Night Workshops: Let us know at least 5 days before your workshop that you can’t make it for a full refund. Last minute drop-outs and no-shows will not be refunded.
