* Marblehead Arts Association show on Fine Craft.  Go to www.marbleheadarts.org/ for more details.  Kirsten and Ursina Amsler Judged entries for the show.  Kirsten and Ursina will also be the Judges for the Marblehead Festival of Arts Craft Show over the 4th of July weekend.


Monica Ripley is COMING to The Clay School!!!

For 4 Weeks this June and 4 Weeks this July Monica Ripley is coming to guest teach at The Clay School!!  

Monica is currently teaching at Harvard and MudFlat Studios and she often teaches at Mass College of Art.  

Come take 4 or 8 classes with Monica on Sundays from 4-6:30 in June and July!!

Our very own ALICE DREW is at MACY'S for LENOX!!!

I know!  I am not kidding!  Alice has worked with Lenox china all last year to develop the Alice Drew Collection of dinnerware.  It is finally out now and available at Macy's.  It is so fun to see her beautiful creations now easily accessible to the public.  

Pottery Making Illustrated also had a featured article about Alice and her printing techniques in the Sept/Oct 2012 issue.

Come take class with Alice and learn her silk screening on clay techniques.

We designed the studio to be a perfect place to create, just like our graduate school studios. The studio classroom is colorful and ideal for sharing ideas and techniques.  There are plenty of worktables for hand building and 11 wheels for throwing.  We have two state-of-the-art computerized electric kilns for oxidation firing.  Our glaze pantry is complete and we use cone 6 glazes (2151 Degrees F.)  

If you are new to our studio, a class is the best place to start.  Classes run for 8 weeks and cost $265. There is also space for Artist-in-residence ($125/month) if you already have all the clay knowledge you need.

Our teachers have over 50 years of combined teaching knowledge, major craft show experience, and nationally recognized gallery representation. They are the BEST around!

Artist-in-Residence
There is space for Artist-in-residence if you already have all the clay knowledge you need.  We provide studio space and 24/7 access for 10-12 artists-in-residence who need a facility to further their own clay work.  Cost is $125/month glazing and firing included.

Mini-Lounge and Kitchen Area
For those of you who enjoy working late at night or just taking a break we have a small but comfortable lounge/kitchen area with plush seats, kitchen table, and plenty of Ceramics Monthly Magazines.   Just the perfect place to relax and think!
