Come enjoy a fun one-night introduction to the art of mosaics. Grab your partner, your friends, your kids (ages 10+), or come solo to experience this creative medium and walk away with a finished piece!
This one-time “taster” class will introduce beginners to mosaic art. You will make a 4x4 square or round mosaic coaster or trivet using glass mosaic tiles. Demonstration, instruction, and grout will be provided so that you can finish your project at home after the glue we use in class dries for 24 hours.
All supplies will be provided!
Artist Bio
Doreen Mastandrea is a ceramic and mosaic artist who has been doing mosaics for over 20 years. Her work includes large scale commissions for schools, restaurants, hotels and private residences in Massachusetts and Bermuda. She has hosted many mosaic workshops through the years teaching students how to embellish everyday items adding creativity to their home and gardens. Author of the book Mosaics Inside and Out, she has technical expertise in mosaics using a variety of materials.
