Intermediate - Advanced
Instructor: Kim Allison
Kim's classes focus on both wheelthrowing and handbuilding, but are usually a little more wheel heavy, depending on students' interests. There will be projects and demos for all levels with instruction both as a group and one-on-one. This class focuses on intermediate-advanced skillbuilding and unique project challenges. There will be emphasis on setting goals for yourself, creating with purpose, embracing experimentation, and working to find your personal style and voice in clay. Kim is always happy to work with students on new skills they're looking to build and loves helping students find their passion for clay! Please do not sign up for this class if it is your first one as we will not be able to keep you enrolled in the class.
Adult classes are for freshman in high school and older and include: one 25 lb. bag of white or red stoneware clay; 24/7 studio access via an Open Studio Hours signup sheet; all glazes and firings
You will need a basic 8-piece tool kit. You can buy one at the studio for $28 or order one before you start class. We like the Kemper kit from dickblick.com or TheCeramicShop.com.
