Be the teacher! Sign up for Teach-a-Friend Day to bring up to 2 guests (ages 8 and up) to the studio. Teach them to throw on the wheel, handbuild, and/or decorate their own pots. This is a super fun chance to introduce your friends and family to all you've learned at The Clay School!
You may use all the tools and equipment in the studio as you would on your own. While a staff member will be onsite during Teach-A-Friend days, they will not be available to teach guests. Members are responsible for their guests, their clay use, their cleanup, their conduct, etc, and for finishing, firing, glazing, and returning pots to your guests. Please teach your guests to treat the studio with respect, as all members are expected to do.
$45 per guest, max 2 guests per Teach-a-Friend Day, ages 8 and up
3 hours of studio access, any time from 9am-3pm on the selected date (no need to tell us what time you're coming)
3lbs of reclaim clay for your guest (may be white or red clay depending on which we are pugging at the time)
You may purchase an additional 3lbs of reclaim for $10, if needed
Each guest may choose up to 4 mug-sized pieces for you to finish, fire, and glaze. (Or the rough equivalent - for example, two 8" vases or 6 small trinket bowls.)
No pieces that need to be fired on bead trees (hanging), and no cookie cutter ornaments allowed please.
