Kim's classes focus on both wheelthrowing and handbuilding, but are usually a little more wheel heavy, depending on students' interests. There will be projects and demos for all levels with instruction both as a group and one-on-one. For those with experience, there will be emphasis on challenging yourself, creating with purpose, embracing experimentation, and working to find your personal style and voice in clay. Kim is always happy to work with students on new skills they're looking to build! For those who are new to clay, we will start at the beginning with the step-by-step basics of wheelthrowing, handbuilding, and glazing, so that you're comfortable working with clay on your own by the end of the session. Kim loves helping new students find their passion for clay!
