Our Story

Come Create!

Picture
*All our teachers are highly educated in the ceramic arts!
*4000+
sq/ft of work space
*We are open 24/7
*30 wheels

* Northstar Extruder
*5 computerized kilns

*2 Bailey slab roller
*loads of work tables
*and many other community tools

We designed the studio to be a perfect place to create, just like our graduate school studios. The studio classroom is colorful and ideal for sharing ideas and techniques.  There are plenty of worktables for hand building and 30 wheels for throwing.  We have three state-of-the-art computerized electric kilns for oxidation firing.  Our glaze pantry is complete and we use cone 6 glazes (2151 Degrees F.)

If you are new to our studio, a class is the best place to start.  Classes run for 8 weeks and cost $325. There is also space for Artist-in-residence ($190/month) if you already have all the clay knowledge you need.

Our Amazing 24/7 Access!

Picture
Our teachers have over 75 years of combined teaching knowledge, major craft show experience, and nationally recognized gallery representation. They are the BEST around!

Artist-in-Residence
There is space for Artist-in-residence if you already have all the clay knowledge you need.  We provide studio space and 24/7 access for 8-10 artists-in-residence who need a facility to further their own clay work.  Cost is $190/month. The price of glazing and firing included in cost of clay.

Sitting area and Kitchen Area
For those of you who enjoy working late at night or just taking a break we have a small but comfortable lounge/kitchen area with plush seats, kitchen table, and plenty of Ceramics Monthly Magazines.   Just the perfect place to relax and think!

Come See the School and Studio space
We are constantly in and out of the studio. If you would like to come see it for yourself please contact us by email (TheClaySchool@gmail.com) so we can give you the grand tour.
