![]() I still love doing the little baby prints in clay. This is a side job I started doing about 6 years ago and I have gotten pretty good at getting great prints. It took some practice! Here is an example of a little guy I just did. I have been going to baby stores, toy stores, and to mommy groups to do printing "days" for years. If you want me to come to your group just email me!

I have a little art studio where I've been mostly teaching painting with kids, but I got a kiln last year and have been exploring clay projects too. (I'm learning as I go.) Someone asked me if I would do kids handprints b/c she wants to give it as a gift to an expectant mom. I said I would try. What kind of clay do you use? Earthenware, stoneware? Do you have any tips you could share with me?

I think that making baby prints is the best way to save memories from the childhood. I think that very small amount of people today can exactly say what was the size of their leg and arm in the earliest childhood. Of course we have a lot of photos but we can't feel and imagine the other aspects.
